Job Summary
A business process solutions, operations management, and analytics consulting company is in need of a Remote DRG Coding Subject Matter Expert.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Researching and analyzing for new concepts and ideas from different sources to identify overpayment opportunities in DRG coding
- Creating criteria document to be used by the builder to pull data, and build query
- Testing and validating the output from the builder
Qualifications for this position include:
- 10 to 14 years of experience with MS DRG and APR DRGs with expert knowledge of ICD-9 official coding guidelines, as well as ICD-10-CM/PCS training
- Experience developing concepts to identify DRG coding errors and overpayments
- CCS - Certified Coding Specialist
- RHIT - Registered Health Information Technologist
- Experience with encoder tools (TrueCode, 3M, Webtrat, Pricers)
