Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare team, the part-time Remote Drug Utilization Review Pharmacist will review medication orders for clinical appropriateness, identify potential drug interactions, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations while working remotely on a day shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness and make recommendations for therapy changes
- Maintain comprehensive customer profiles, including medical history and current medications
- Dispense controlled substances and maintain regulatory compliance with DEA regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of employment
- Experience with Drug Utilization Review (DUR)
- Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Ability to support a shift schedule aligned with the Pacific Time Zone
