Remote Due Diligence Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Due Diligence Mortgage Underwriter (1099 Contractor).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive due diligence underwriting of residential mortgage loan files, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and company policies
• Review and validate income, assets, credit, and collateral documentation
• Document and communicate findings or exceptions as needed while managing assigned files

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience, focusing on due diligence or investor-level reviews
• Mandatory experience using LauraMac for file reviews
• Strong knowledge of DSCR, Bank Statement, and Non-QM loan products
• Proven ability to analyze complex income scenarios and make sound underwriting decisions
• Reliable internet and secure remote work environment
