Job Summary
A recruiting company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Due Diligence Underwriter in Chicago.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Review loan application packages for completeness and accuracy
- Verify and validate income, assets and liability documentation
- Review appraisals to support value, determine flipping, etc
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 3 years of recent underwriting experience with strong emphasis on fraud
- Knowledge of the principles and regulations applicable to mortgage lending
- Knowledge of scratch & dent, non-performing, and/ or sub-prime loans
- Alt+ A, Subprime, B/C Paper, and HELOC experience
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
- Excellent PC skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
