Job Summary

A healthcare company is filling a position for a Remote Eating Disorder Utilization Review Case Manager.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Completing initial and concurrent reviews for a select number of MH RTC facilities
• Tracking and reporting of authorization status for all clients
• Training and mentoring all Discovery Behavioral Health clinicians and interns on a regular basis

Skills and Requirements Include:

• Extensive knowledge of the treatment of eating disorders, mental health disorders and substance abuse
• An in-depth understanding of levels of care and relevant criteria
• Current or past experience in providing utilization review, insurance authorization
• Strong writing skills and experience in preparing formal written appeals
• Familiarity with the managed care system, benefit eligibility and appeals processes
• A working understanding of medical complications associated with eating disorders
