Remote ED Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote ED/Claim Edit Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ED records, Home Health & Hospice records, and professional fee services
• Review patients' medical records and assign appropriate codes for financial reimbursement and compliance
• Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts, ensuring all encounters are coded accurately

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must possess one of the following coding certifications at time of hire: CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or RHIT/RHIA
• Three to five years of coding experience required
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of coding multiple service areas or extensive experience in a critical specialty
• Must achieve one of the coding credentials within one year of hire
