Remote Education Program Coordinator in the Oakland Area

Job Summary

An educational services company has an open position for a Remote Education Program Coordinator in the Oakland Area.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Recruiting, screening, and training volunteers for our education programs
• Coordinating activities for programs including read alouds, dinners, literacy games, etc
• Providing partner organizations and students with age-appropriate books and school supplies

Required Skills:

• Ability to travel in the Bay area; ability to work remotely 70% of the time post-pandemic (~90% currently)
• B.A./B.S. degree or higher or an Associate’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in an educational or community-based setting, including volunteer work
• Demonstrated effectiveness coordinating and managing volunteers or staff
• Deep understanding of the impact of poverty on children and their education
• Personal and professional commitment to social justice and equity
