Job Summary

A health services company is seeking a Remote Emergency and Same Day Surgical Outpatient Medical Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing and adhering to the coding division policy and procedure manual content
• Being responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliant workstations
• Communicating problems or coding principle discrepancies to a supervisor immediately

Required Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years facility emergency room coding experience
• Proficient SDS coding and EPIC experience
• Must hold one of the following credentials: CPC or CCS
• Advanced knowledge of E/M coding, CMS/MAC guidance, Coding Skills, ICD-10-CM and CPT
• Good working knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology as well as Medical Terminology
• Ability to analyze Provider documentation and assign codes accurately.
