Job Summary
A non-profit healthcare system has an open position for a Remote Emergency Department Coding Analyst.
Must be able to:
- Code and abstract clinical and demographic data
- Identify and resolve clinical documentation and charge capture data discrepancies
- Meet departmental quality and productivity standards
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Certificate program in coding, associate degree in HIM, or equivalent healthcare coding experience
- At least one year of coding experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Proficiency with computer systems, including electronic health record
