Job Summary
A university has an open position for a Remote Emergency Management Dissertation Mentor Faculty Member.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Providing feedback to dissertation learners on methodology, data collection, data analysis, and the dissertation
- Teaching in the online dissertation course
- Building an online community conducive to the spirit of learning and continuous improvement
Position Requirements Include:
- PhD in Emergency Management; OR a PhD in a closely related field with a masters degree in Emergency Management and Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification
- Degree required to be from a regionally accredited institution
- College level teaching experience of 3 years or more
- Significant practitioner experience as an emergency manager
- Demonstration of scholarly or practitioner contributions at practitioner and/or academic conferences in the area of expertise
- Higher education research mentoring experience, to include mentoring learners and serving on master's or dissertation committees
