Job Summary

A physician-led healthcare staffing company has an open position for a Remote Emergency Medicine Coder.

Must be able to:

• Review documentation on patient records and assign CPT-4 codes
• Identify errors, problems, or issues
• Complete daily productivity reports

Required Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnostic coding and CPT-4 procedural coding
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
• Typing speed of 35-45 WPM
• CPC, CCS-p, or RHIT certification or eligibility within two years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years previous physician coding experience required or graduation from a coding technical school
