Job Summary
A financial technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Employment Counsel.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting audits, employment classification reviews, and support other compliance efforts
- Drafting and reviewing employment related agreements and templates
- Investigating and responding to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment related inquiries
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Strength in evaluating risk in light of business and practical considerations and make clear recommendations
- Experience analyzing and providing advice on state, federal, and local wage and hour compliance
- Experience working within a growing legal team and with partners at all levels of the organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Employment litigation experience
- Experience with international issues or M&A
