Job Summary
A modern media company is filling a position for a Remote Engineering Manager.
Must be able to:
- Prioritize and plan the work of the team in close collaboration with your engineers, product manager and designers
- Collaborate with stakeholders on the product, design and engineering teams
- Effectively support a distributed team through virtual and in-person collaboration and culture initiatives
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Experience managing or mentoring technical teams and guiding them to success.
- Proven ability to create and support a diverse and inclusive workforce
- Empathy, respect and thoughtfulness for your teammates and direct reports
- Ability to proactively communicate and engage your team across multiple mediums (slack, video calls, email and code reviews)
- Ability to enhance the quality of our products and communicate the value of the products internally
- Experience working in a matrixed product organization, closely-coupled with designers and product managers
