Job Summary
A nonprofit publisher is in need of a Remote Executive Editor.
Must be able to:
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and training of academic Editor(s)-in-Chief and Editorial Board members
- Devise, develop and implement the editorial strategy and vision for the journal
- Take overall responsibility for editorial decision-making on the journal
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Editorial experience in scientific or medical journal publishing
- Experience developing and delivering against editorial strategy
- Excellent familiarity with peer review, editorial decision making and publishing standards
- Experience managing relationships with academic Editorial Board members and Editors-in-Chief
- Demonstrated evidence of a strong and active network of professional contacts in a relevant subject area
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of colleagues, in peer-to-peer and management relationships
