Job Summary
A computer hardware and services company has an open position for a Remote Export Compliance Senior Specialist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Exporting compliance activities to ensure compliance with EAR, ITAR, OFAC and other applicable U.S. Export compliance regulations globally
- Identifying compliance gaps, develop, and implement export compliance processes and procedures to drive process improvements to mitigate risk
- Leading large complex cross-functional projects across all lines of business and for all policies, processes, and system changes with regards to RPL screening and license determination
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline, and 10years experience in a similar role and scale
- Experience with License Applications, Commodity Classification Requests, product classification, screening applications such as Oracle GTM and Descartes as well as with conducting reviews of companies and individuals for restricted parties and sanctions compliance
- Ability to interpret government regulations and apply business knowledge to develop appropriate compliance actions
- Effective communication skills and an ability to explain complex, technical regulations to diverse audiences
- Ability to interpret government regulations and apply business knowledge to develop appropriate compliance actions.
- Working knowledge of applicable U.S. Commerce Department, Treasury Department, and State Department trade regulations, including the EAR, OFAC designations, ITAR, and experience with export controls such as Deemed Exports, Sanctions, Anti-boycott, Restricted Party Screening
