A family events and kids activity website has an open position for a Remote Family Activity Writer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Contributing on the topic of family-friendly activities in and around New York City. We are particularly interested in hearing from writers with an expertise in Queens and/or Staten Island. Mommy Poppins' writers are expected to
- Contributing 3-6 posts per month covering kid-centric topics such as playground openings children's theater and the best places for animal encounters
Position Requirements Include:
- Availability to cover family activities in person in and around New York City (especially Queens and/or Staten Island)
- Demonstrated passion for living in New York City with kids and all the cool things there are to do here
- Ability to work-from-home on a freelance basis
- Ability to submit articles via a combination of your pitch ideas and assignments from the editor
- Professional writing experience
- Demonstrated comfort navigating a CMS (content management system)
