Remote Features Design Art Director

Job Summary

A media company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Features Design Art Director.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Designing and art directing features and inside pages for glossy magazine printing weekly
• Developing and maintaining the style manual in conjunction with design directors
• Continuing to grow our database of illustrators and photographers, with a focus on finding L.A.-based contributors

Qualifications Include:

• At least seven years of professional experience in magazine design
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates excellence in art-directing illustrations, typography and photography
• Strong multitasking, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong working knowledge of design software such as CCI Newsgate, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
