Remote FHA Underwriter with CHUMS ID

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Remote Wholesale FHA Underwriter with an active CHUMS ID, the full-time position will underwrite FHA mortgage loans, manage a pipeline efficiently, and ensure compliance with HUD and investor guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA mortgage loans in accordance with HUD and investor guidelines
• Review income, assets, credit, appraisal, and collateral documentation to issue credit decisions
• Collaborate with processors, loan officers, and closing teams to ensure efficient loan processing

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of recent mortgage underwriting experience
• Active CHUMS ID required, with personal underwriting of FHA loans within the past six months
• Recent wholesale underwriting experience is necessary
• Strong knowledge of FHA guidelines and mortgage credit analysis
• Experience with Encompass or similar loan origination systems preferred
