Remote FHA Underwriter with CHUMS ID

Job Summary

Experienced FHA Underwriters with an active CHUMS ID will find a fully remote opportunity focused on underwriting FHA mortgage loans, reviewing documentation, and managing a pipeline in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA mortgage loans in accordance with HUD and investor guidelines
• Review income, assets, credit, appraisal, and collateral documentation while issuing credit decisions
• Collaborate with processors, loan officers, and closing teams to ensure efficient loan processing

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of recent mortgage underwriting experience
• Active CHUMS ID required with recent FHA loan underwriting experience
• Recent wholesale underwriting experience is necessary
• Strong knowledge of FHA guidelines and mortgage credit analysis
• Experience with Encompass or similar LOS preferred
