Job Summary
A publishing company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Fictional Works Developmental Editor.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Editing crime fiction and/or women’s/book club fiction
- Performing evaluation and developmental editing of top commercial fiction
- Overseeing manuscript after acquisitions, through edits, and until the manuscript it submitted
Position Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3-5 years of experience in a developmental editorial role for a trade publishing house
- Excellent written communication skills
- Highly organized
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google software
