Job Summary

I'm looking for someone proactive and detail-oriented with excellent written communication skills and tech savvy, to be my Virtual Executive Assistant. Interest in filmmaking, writing, and/or progressive politics and feminism is a plus. Pay is $30/hr.

This is a part-time role, starting with a 10 hours a month. Depending on how we work together, this could become a full-time position.

I'm an award-winning writer-director and producer, and I offer online courses in screenwriting, film directing, and film production. (See links at the bottom for more information about me.)

The description below covers everything that I would need a full time Executive Assistant to be able to do. I'm aware that in starting part-time, you'll be responsible for just a portion of this list.

SUMMARY
This is not an entry-level assistant position. You MUST have at least 2 years experience working remotely as a Virtual Assistant for a business owner.

Combination of long-term projects and time-sensitive tasks that may require same-day help.

You'll handle my business and personal details, including customer service requests; basic Wordpress site maintenance and basic SEO optimization; technical work running automated email funnels and automated sales; as well as personal tasks such as purchases and returns, scheduling appointments, finding the right service providers, and managing various household items.

This is a part-time role, starting with 10 hours a month. Depending on how we work together, hours will increase. This could grow into a full-time position.

Work is remote, so you can work anywhere in the US or Canada during NYC business hours. Need you to be able to communicate by video calls using zoom and screens shares, and enjoy working on certain tasks together via video conferencing.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Have experience and confidence (or be able to quickly learn) how to manage and integrate Bluehost, Wordpress (Elementor), ConvertKit, DeadlineFunnel, and Teachable. Be able to easily choose and integrate additional third party applications as needed. Have the savvy to price-shop and eliminate needless services and costs.

Be able to create basic presentation slides using canva, adobe spark, powerpoint.

Communicate with prospective and current customers. Research and be the point person for service providers.
Book appointments and manage calendar.

Handle personal details such as shopping, thank you cards, scheduling, and household items.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
At least 2+ years experience as a virtual assistant for a business owner

Ability to handle several emails/requests, have judgement in what to prioritize, and be exceptionally communicative and responsive about progress and timetables

Highly organized and efficient. Trustworthy with strong personal integrity. Be able to laugh!

Forward-thinker who can proactively handle circumstances and troubleshoot issues before they come up

Must be reachable between 9am-6pm Eastern and be able to respond within 2 hours on weekdays.

Top notch communication via email and phone, internally and with customers

Perfectionist, super attention to detail

Since this is a virtual position, must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal oversight

Must be comfortable developing and working in a virtual relationship, and be flexible about having limited to no amount of facetime, but available to work collaboratively through video conferencing when that's what's needed.
