Job Summary

ContentBacon is looking for content writers who understand personal/business finance and investing for our content needs, including but not limited to blogs, white papers, eBooks, long-form content, etc. Our ideal team member must also understand best practices for writing in the digital space, what it takes to create content with a specific tone and voice, and knows how to tell a compelling story.
We are looking for writers with experience writing for the following areas:

Finance (both personal and professional)
Investing
Retirement planning
Different types of investment options
Investment options available and how they're different (high risk vs. low risk)
Accounting and tax services
Individual tax filing
Individual tax breaks
Business tax filing - different industries
Business tax breaks
Changes in filing status
Merger and acquisition
What goes into a merger/acquisition
How the transaction takes place
What a M&A strategy looks like
Crytpo/blockchain - what it is and how it's used
Tax Law
Changes to tax law and how that impacts filing at the individual or corporate level
Managed CFO services
Managed payroll
Payroll compliance

Responsibilities and requirements:

2 years professional writing experience in B2B-focused content or has completed extensive college writing coursework and can hit the ground running.
Collaborate with a team of editors and strategists to ensure content is on point and fits the customers' needs
Take time to understand the customer's business, brand voice, and audience
Create clear, custom content
Writes with SEO in mind and implements best practices for all content created
Follow ContentBacon's process for writing/submitting work
Be deadline-driven and communicative
Submit examples that showcase your work
Open to feedback and view it as an opportunity to grow
Have a strategic mindset - understand the piece of content being written and how it fits into the bigger picture
