Job Summary
A financial and insurance services company is seeking a Remote Financial and Insurance Services Senior Procurement and Vendor Management Specialist.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Recommending and implementing category procurement and commodity sourcing strategies to achieve strategic plans
- Leading cross functional teams to develop and execute local or global strategies covering categories and commodities
- Executing sourcing activities including developing RFx proposals, evaluating and recommending best available options, ect
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Bachelor in business administration, operations management, or other directly applicable field or equivalent education/experience
- 5 years of experience in category procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract development / management
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
- Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact and diplomacy
- Ability to work effectively and cultivate strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization and with external parties
- Ability to work with teams across geographically dispersed locations
