Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral healthcare practice, the part-time Remote Financial Counselor will verify clients' insurance information, determine medical assistance status upon admission, and transmit third-party payer information to external providers.

Key responsibilities

• Verify clients' insurance information and medical assistance status upon admission
• Assist clients in applying for medical assistance and follow through with the application process
• Transmit clients' third-party payer information to pharmacies, labs, and other providers for credits and adjustments

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a medical office preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology and computer systems
• Ability to comply with state and federal guidelines
• Strong organizational and time management skills
