Job Summary
A company focused on climate change has a current position open for a Remote Forest Biometrician and Scientist Consultant in San Francisco.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Managing and working with forest inventory data of many varieties
- Developing and applying allometric and growth equations to calculate forest carbon
- Interpreting and summarizing forest management plans and carbon offset projects
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Proficiency in R, Python, or another programming language
- Strong knowledge of forest sampling techniques
- Some knowledge of allometry, growth and yield modeling, and forest management
- Proficiency in GIS (ESRI, Qgis, or FME)
