Job Summary
A furniture company is in need of a Remote Freight and Distribution Manager.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Sourcing, onboarding and negotiating prices across international, national and local shipping service providers
- Executing city-to-city balancing efficiently
- Researching and defining a strategy for different transportation modes
Position Requirements Include:
- 4-6 years experience as as a leader in Transportation, Logistics, Carrier Management or Supply Chain
- Experience working with Transport Management, WMS, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex negotiations with carrier providers
- Demonstrated excellence in collaboration with internal and external business partners
- Detailed oriented and extremely good problem solving, organisational and optimization skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to adapt in a rapidly growing startup environment
