Remote General Counsel

Job Summary

A for-profit educational organization is filling a position for a Remote General Counsel.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Providing strategic legal advice to the leadership team and Board of Directors
• Leading all aspects of legal matters
• Continuously seeking ways to improve the forms, processes, or systems involved

Required Skills:

• 15+ years of experience practicing law with a combination of law firm and in-house experience
• JD from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in AND in good standing in California
• Previous General Counsel experience at a pre-IPO or public tech company
• Experience leading companies through the IPO process, financing, global expansion, and M&A transactions
• Collaborative team player with no ego, coupled with an outstanding ability to communicate in plain English
• Looking and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
