Job Summary
A clinical testing network has a current position open for a Remote Genomic Variant Scientist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Investigating the pathogenicity of DNA sequence variants found real-time in patients
- Customizing clinical report text in collaboration with genetic directors and counselors
- Curating variant database with all pertinent findings
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Molecular biology knowledge and research skills normally acquired through a degree in related field
- 6+ years of extensive industrial experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as peer-reviewed scientific journal articles
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution
- Exhibits scientific creativity and routinely demonstrates independent thought
- Knowledge in the use of common laboratory equipment and techniques
