Job Summary

A telecommunications company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote GIS Analyst and Developer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, analyze, convert, design, develop and support various data formats and processes from internal and external sources
  • Research, design, code, and document GIS supportive software applications, extensions, and custom applications throughout the production lifecycle
  • Work with GIS Solutions team to problem solve spatial data challenges for internal and external customers and any spatial data-related issues

Qualifications Include:

  • College degree in Geographic Information Systems, geography, computer science or software engineering, and/or 6 years equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience in GIS systems (ESRI suite and FME), GIS development (ESRI SDK and API) and various spatial data formats
  • Experience with ArcServer and FMEServer Knowledge of general data conversion processing
  • Extensive knowledge of projections/coordinate systems
  • Working technical knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, .NET
  • Working knowledge of XML, KML and metafile schema
