Remote GIS Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Remote GIS Software Application Engineer on a contract basis, who will provide software development services for utility company applications, maintain GIS operations, and build custom GIS applications using tools such as ESRI and ArcGIS.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with client project teams to deliver software development services for various utility applications
• Oversee daily GIS operations in conjunction with the Product Support Manager and team
• Develop custom GIS applications and perform spatial data querying and reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience in GIS software and application development
• Proficiency with ESRI, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Ability to thrive in a complex, multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client interaction
