Job Summary
An IT staffing firm has an open position for a Remote Hadoop Administrator in San Jose.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain production mission critical large-scale Hadoop clusters
- Configure, tune, manage and operate large-scale HBase deployments
- Deploy Hadoop clusters in the cloud on AWS infrastructure
Position Requirements Include:
- Travel: 25% - once a week, once a month to Charlotte, NC
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing production Hadoop clusters
- 3+ years of experience in monitoring and supporting production
- Experience can be either Cloudera or Hortonworks based
- 1+ years of demonstratable experience in running production Hadoop workloads
- 3+ years' experience supporting and maintaining production HBase clusters
