Job Summary
A technology company is seeking a Remote Hadoop Engineer and Director.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Providing a solution design that meets both the business requirements and the best Hadoop technical practices
- Participating in working sessions with technical executives and experts
- Performing collection, cleansing, processing, and analysis of new and existing data sources
Qualifications for this position include:
- Occasional travel to client worksites
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or a relevant technical field
- Strong SQL and HiveQL skills
- Ability to debug, understanding Hadoop/YARN log files
- A strong understanding of data profiling and data cleansing techniques
- Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations
