Remote HCC Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote HCC Coding Specialist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing, analyzing and coding patient medical records based on client specific guidelines for the project
• Following ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines and interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment
• Following Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules specific to Medicare capitation model

Required Skills:

• All coders must be CPC and CRC certified
• Must have at least a minimum of 1 year of HCC experience as well as 1 year on the job coding experience
• Must have working knowledge and experience with systems
• Must have a phone, reliable internet connection and current coding materials
• Team Member must be able to work from home and be independent in their coding skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft programs like Excel and Outlook
