Job Summary

A hospital and healthcare solutions company is seeking a Remote HCC Medical Coding Specialist in Plano.


Must be able to:

  • Review, analyze and code patient medical records
  • Follow ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines
  • Follow Risk Adjustment Data Abstraction Rules

Required Skills:

  • All coders MUST be certified through either the AAPC or AHIMA
  • 6 months of HCC experience as well as 1 year on the job coding experience
  • Experience with systems such as EMRs, Billing systems, abstraction platforms, etc
  • Team Member must be able to work from home and be independent in their coding skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft programs like Excel and Outlook
  • Must have a phone, reliable internet connection and current coding materials
