Job Summary
A healthcare provider is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote HCS D Medical Coder.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing remote coding for hospitals via scanned medical records and abstracts
- Consulting Manager, Corporate Coding and working out difficult codes and/or coding problems.
- Attending coding education as scheduled
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Travel will be less than 5%
- Maintains productivity levels set forth by facility while maintaining a 95% coding accuracy rate
- Broad knowledge of pharmacology indications for drug usage and related adverse reactions
- Knowledge of ancillary testing (laboratory, X-ray, EKG)
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- All other requirements necessary for this position
