Job Summary
A non-profit, faith-based healthcare organization and clinical care network is in need of a Remote Health Information Management Continued Care Specialist.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Responds to requests of former patients, physicians, hospital staff and guests for health information
- Performs quality assessment reviews on release of health information for proper, complete, and accurate disclosure
- Answers phone calls and provides information adhering to hospital Disclosure of Medical Record Information policy
Required Skills:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical chart format and computer skills
- Ability to work in a highly-focused customer service oriented setting with high volume telephone experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Attentive to fine details and be a high volume performer with exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
