Remote Health Insurance Underwriter

Job Summary

An independent, not-for-profit health benefits organization is in need of a Remote Health Insurance Underwriter.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Collecting information, contacting sales, account managers, agents, and other parties as appropriate to clarify and correct inconsistent, incorrect, or missing group health application information
• Calculating and negotiating rates and premium charges for group health insurance using approved formulas and tables

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
