Job Summary
A privately-held health technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Health Technology Audit Specialist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing inpatient and outpatient coding audits medical records and abstracts
- Reviewing non-CC/MCC records to determine if record was properly coded or if additional documentation is needed
- Reviewing all HCPCS and CPT codes impacting APC assignment
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience coding or auditing
- Recent experience in academic/level 1 trauma centers
- Experience coding or auditing inpatient and outpatient records for various facilities
- APRDRG and/or EAPG experience required
- Track record of acceptable productivity standards
- Experience with various software including EMR, Encoder and Auditing software
