Job Summary
A healthcare company is filling a position for a Remote Healthcare Refund Specialist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Following-up on credit balances listed on monthly AR and Payer Follow-up reports
- Reviewing and updating patient demographics and payer information as necessary for completion of claims payment
- Reviewing credit balances for refund request form completion and notating the accounts
Position Requirements Include:
- Ability to work hours of 10:30 am - 7 pm CST
- High school education or GED
- Knowledge of medical terminology and managed care billing guidelines
- Ability to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Ability to document all communications regarding account balance follow-up in the patient account
