Remote HIM Supervisor
Job Summary
To support the Patient Revenue Management Organization, the full-time Remote HIM Supervisor will coordinate workflows, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while managing the integrity of electronic health records.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate daily activities and workflows of the HIM unit
- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff performance while addressing professional development needs
- Maintain communication with hospital and clinic personnel to resolve issues and ensure quality metrics are met
Required qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Six years of experience in a progressive healthcare setting, with relevant substitutes for education
- RHIT or RHIA certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience with HIS and Epic EHR systems is strongly preferred
