Job Summary
A non-profit healthcare system needs applicants for an opening for a Remote HIMS Coder Quality Associate.
Must be able to:
- Review medical records
- Provide coding and guidance for non-standard billing
- Assist with maintaining system wide consistency in coding practices and ethical coding compliance
Position Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management and current continuing education
- Demonstrated proficiency in hospital and/or multiple physician specialty coding
- Experience normally obtained with 2-3 year experience in CMS HCC Risk Adjustment payment methodology
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of ICD/DRG coding and/or CPT coding principles
