Remote History Teacher

Job Summary

To support the educational mission of Gravitas, the part-time Remote History Teacher will engage in live instruction and mentoring, teaching one to four courses while providing thoughtful feedback and participating in community collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver live history courses in a relational online environment, meeting twice a week for 80 minutes each
• Provide timely and substantive feedback to students, ensuring meaningful engagement outside of class hours
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and contribute to student activities and community projects

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in History or a related field, or History education
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience, including online instruction
• High proficiency with technology and online teaching tools, including Google Workspace and Zoom
• Strong work ethic and ability to connect with teenagers in an online learning environment
• Eligibility to work in the United States and maintain a permanent U.S. address
