Job Summary
A consulting services firm has an open position for a Remote Hospital Inpatient Revenue Integrity Coder.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results
- Code conditions and procedures as documented and in accordance with ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines
- Review code related denials from payers and recommending the appropriate action to resolve
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent of 3-5 years job related experience.
- Experience in ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS Level II Coding
- AAPC or AHIMA coding certification, CCS, CPC, COC, RHIT or RHIA.
- Proficiency in determining accurate medical codes for diagnoses
- Knowledge, understanding and proper application of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer UB-04 billing
