Job Summary

A non-profit network of hospitals is seeking a Remote Hospital Outpatient Surgery Coder in Des Moines.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Assigning codes for all diagnoses, treatments, and procedures
• Coding Complex cases (excluding OP ancillary/series)
• Assigning appropriate ICD-10 diagnoses and procedures

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Completion of nationally recognized Coding Program (AHIMA/AAPC)
• 2-year Health Information Technology Program
• Additional coding registrations as required by the employer
• 3 years of progressive on-the-job experience in an acute care setting
• Ability to code Complex coding
• Knowledge regarding MS-DRG’s, APC’s and official coding guidelines
