Remote Hospital Specialty Coder

Job Summary

A hospital and healthcare system has an open position for a Remote Hospital Specialty Coder.

Must be able to:

• Perform primary diagnosis and complex procedural coding
• Review of detailed physician documentation within the medical record
• Making accurate ICD-9, ICD-10 and CPT code assignments

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5 years of coding experience
• 2+ years in specialty/complex areas – Hospital Inpatient, Outpatient Interventional Radiology or Wound Care
• CPC, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-H, RHIA, RHIT or equivalent coding certification
• Multiple specialty coding certifications
