A portfolio of digital companies specializing in connecting consumers and brands has a current position open for a Remote Hotels Reporter in New York City.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Writing hotel news stories
- Writing and editing larger hotel feature stories
- Tracking important hotel openings, and assigning, writing and editing hotel reviews
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of the hotel industry with an extensive network of contacts
- Solid background in copyediting, developmental editing and reporting
- A flexible team player & can seamlessly switch from writing breaking news stories to assigning & editing in-depth hotel reviews
- At least 5 years of experience as a reporter or editor
- Knowledge and background for finding data and news about the hotel industry — and who to ask for more details
- An interest in learning about credit cards, points and miles, particularly hotel points and miles
