Job Summary

A for-profit genealogy company is in need of a Remote Human Genetic Diversity Scientist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with other scientists to identify and catalog global genetic diversity
  • Providing population genetics expertise in the development of genetic partnerships across the globe
  • Performing creative research with the goal of delivering exciting discoveries

Qualifications Include:

  • M.S. with 3+ years of experience or Ph.D. in Population Genetics, Evolutionary Biology, Computational Biology or a related field
  • Experience analyzing NGS data is required and experience with microarray data
  • Experience with diverse human populations and knowledge of human population history
  • Experience with imputation and NGS data processing
  • Experience with python and R
  • Experience designing and executing prospective human sampling studies
