Job Summary

A network of remarkable leaders is seeking a Remote Human Rights Chief Operating Officer in Oakland.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating an agile strategic 1-year and 3-year plan and working with the Executive Team to implement it
  • Co-managing the Executive Team with the CEO
  • Supporting CEO in facilitating strategic engagement of the Board of Directors

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in organizational management at the Executive level
  • Community economic development leader with an understanding of inclusive entrepreneurship and/or philanthropy
  • Passion for addressing economic injustices, closing the racial wealth gap, and systems change
  • Commitment and dedication to dismantling unjust systems with experience addressing bias and white dominant culture in the workplace
  • Senior leader with proven success in managing an organization
  • Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people
