A for-profit health care organization has an open position for a Remote Infection Prevention Data Abstractor in San Antonio.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Completing abstraction process for assigned facility(ies), including abstraction of cases into the required system
- Reviewing medical records to abstract information according to the standards of various regulatory and accreditation agencies
- Completing edit checks and make appropriate changes on a timely basis
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field
- 1-3 years experience in Health Information Management
- Able to resolve errors resulting in the rejection of records from the data entry system
