Job Summary
A healthcare company is seeking a Remote Information Release Specialist.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Process billing record requests, subpoenas, court orders and other requests
- Access electronic patient record and/or other computer systems for patient information
- Review HIPAA authorizations and confirms that entity has submitted a valid request
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years medical records, medical billing, or coding experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance laws
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding patient information
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance laws
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook Suite
